WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS TEST?

- Individuals experiencing symptoms such as skin and eyes that appear yellowish (jaundice), abdominal pain and swelling, swelling in the legs and ankles, dark urine color, pale stool color, chronic fatigue, nausea or vomiting, etc.

- Individuals who use alcohol with signs of abdominal bloating.

- Overweight, obese individuals, and those with lack of exercises.

- Individuals with liver diseases, or with a family history of liver disorders, diabetes, high cholesterol.

- Individuals using medications affecting the liver and its functions.

TEST'S PURPOSE

- Screening and timely detection of common liver disorders such as cirrhosis, etc. to limit the risk of liver cancer formation.

- The presence of jaundice combined with bilirubin test results can help detect liver or hemolytic disorders.

- Screening for potential liver damage using enzyme concentration tests such as ALAT (SGPT) and ASAT (SGOT).

PATIENT PREPARATION

- Perform liver tests in the morning.

- Fasting before the test is not required.

- Avoid using any medications prior to testing including antibiotics, supplements, therapeutic drugs, etc.

- Avoid using alcohol, tobacco, stimulants.
