WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS TEST?

Individuals with signs of allergies such as sneezing and runny nose, coughing and itching of the throat, watery red eyes, skin rashes and itching, shortness of breath and sense of suffocation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

TEST’S PURPOSE

  • Analyzing the concentration of immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies in the blood sample to identify parasitic infections, eczema, and some rare allergic diseases.
  • Screening for allergens in foods, pollen, house dust (mites droppings), pets (hair, skin cells, saliva, urine), insect stings, and medication allergies.

PATIENT PREPARATION

You don't need any special preparation, however; your doctor may ask you to discontinue some medications, including over-the-counter allergy eye drops, nasal sprays, cold, cough, flu, antidepressants, and others, before taking the test. Please consult your doctor on which medication to stop and for how long.

HOME COLLECTION SERVICE

  • Call 1900 1717 to request that your sample is taken at home.
  • Standard call charges apply.

DOCTOR CONSULTATION

The consultation service for test results is as follows:

  • Step 1: Go to the Diag website, select a test package, and make a booking.
  • Step 2: Pay and get samples collected at a Diag location or at home.
  • Step 3: Choose a timeslot for a consultation with a doctor.
  • Step 4: Receive your test results via text message.
  • Step 5: A Diag doctor will contact you by phone to consult with you on the results.
