Methotrexate is an cancer medicine used individually or in combination with other cancer medicines to:
- Treat bone cancer, leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, lung cancer, breast cancer, ...;
- Treat benign diseases such as severe psoriasis, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis; and treatment in transplants.
Methotrexate test monitors methotrexate levels to ensure appropriate cancer treatment, avoid overdose poisoning, and determine when to intervene with a "rescue" regimen
