1. Parasite Test Panel Overview

The Parasite Test Panel helps diagnose infection from 13 parasites arising from a typical diet or normal daily activities. This test panel helps to determine the type of parasite and specific cause of the disease.

Test indicators allow doctors and patients to develop a suitable and timely treatment plan and make necessary lifestyle adjustments to avoid parasitic infections.

2. Significance of the Parasite Test Panel

Canine tapeworm (Echinococcus IgG): IgG antibody test helps to diagnose canine tapeworm infection, common in children due to exposure/contact with dogs and cats infected with fleas that carry tapeworm larvae.

– Fascioliasis (Fasciola IgG): To diagnose fascioliasis, usually from undercooked food or contaminated water.

– Lung fluke (Paragominus IgG): Helps diagnose lung fluke infection, usually from eating soaked or undercooked freshwater crustaceans.

Schistosoma IgG: Antibody test to diagnose schistosomiasis, typically infected through the skin by swimming or contact with dirty water. Schistosomiasis lives in the blood vessels of the digestive or urinary system.

– Pinworms (Gnathostoma spinigerum IgG): This IgG antibody test helps diagnose gnathostomiasis, an infection from contact with meat from intermediate hosts such as fish, amphibians, crustaceans, and birds.

– Strongyloides IgG: Aids diagnosis of strongyloidiasis, a larvae infection that invades the body through the skin, maturing into adult worms in the esophagus and intestines.

– Toxocariasis in dogs and cats (Toxocara IgG): Can diagnose ascariasis when exposed to dogs and cats and from food and water contaminated with worm eggs.

Roundworms (Angiostrongylus cantonensis IgG): The IgG antibody test helps diagnose roundworm infections caused by undercooked food or contaminated water.

Trichinella IgG: An antibody test helps diagnose helminth infections, which are often infected by consuming unsanitary food sources or processed from sick animals such as pigs, wild boar, and bears.

Intestinal amoeba Entamoeba histolytica: Diagnose intestinal amoeba infection caused by consumption of contaminated food and water.

– Toxoplasma gondii IgG: An antibody test to aid diagnosis of toxoplasmosis, which is usually contracted from eating food or drinking water contaminated with cat feces or undercooked mutton or pork.

– Toxoplasma gondii IgM: Helps diagnose toxoplasmosis, often caused by undercooked food and contaminated water.
