Forearm X-ray (frontal and lateral views) is commonly used to diagnose fractures or dislocations. Bone and joint X-rays are the quickest and easiest way for doctors to see and evaluate fractures, injuries, and abnormalities in the joints.
Indications:
Diagnosis of fractures or dislocations.
Demonstrate the healing and stability of bone fragments after fracture treatment.
Guide orthopedic surgery and joint replacement.
Search for injuries, infections, arthritis, abnormal bone growths, and changes in bones under metabolic conditions.
Assist in the detection and diagnosis of bone cancer.
Determine the location of foreign objects in the surrounding soft tissues or in the bone.
Contraindications:
No absolute contraindications.
Pregnant women in the first trimester. Pregnant women in the second and third trimesters can have X-rays if necessary.
Patients who are uncooperative.
