Bilateral hip X-ray helps to examine and evaluate problems related to the hip joint, such as degeneration, trauma or other diseases.
Indications:
§ Hip pain: pain of unknown origin or due to trauma.
§ Hip osteoarthritis: check the degree of degeneration.
§ Fracture: determine the location and degree of fracture.
§ Dislocation: assess the dislocation.
§ Post-operative examination: assess the results after orthopedic surgery.
Contraindications:
§ Pregnant women: especially in the first trimester, to avoid affecting the fetus.
§ Children: limit unless necessary.
§ People who cannot maintain the shooting position: due to pain or limited mobility.
Shooting procedure:
1. Preparation before shooting: the patient needs to remove jewelry or metal objects on the body.
2. Performing the shooting: the patient lie flat on the table with legs straight and keep stable position while the X-ray machine takes the picture.
3. Evaluate the results: the X-ray image must be clear and not obscured by structures around the pelvis and groin.
