– Biopsy sample of polyp < 0.5 cm or lesion < 0.5 cm of the digestive tract (oral cavity, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, anus) - Biopsy sample of cervical white spot - Biopsy sample of skin lesion, soft tissue < 0.5 cm

– Cystatin C is a serum protein that serves as a measure of kidney function. It is produced at a constant rate by all nucleated cells in the body. 
– Its concentration in blood inversely correlates with the glomerular filtration rate.
– Cystatin C levels are largely independent of weight and height, muscle mass, age (over one year of age), and sex.
