The purpose of a physical examination is to identify any potential health issues early on, provide a baseline for future comparisons, and address any concerns you may have. It’s an important part of preventive healthcare.

Contraceptive implants are small plastic rods containing contraceptive medication that are inserted under the skin of a woman’s non-dominant arm. The ingredients in the contraceptive implant include the hormones levonorgestrel or etonogestrel.
