Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by bacteria in the air that spread from person to person. TB symptoms include chest pain, coughing up blood, weight loss, and fever. It can be fatal without treatment. However, those with a latent TB infection will likely be symptomless. A TB antibody rapid diagnostic kit can qualitatively detect antibodies against tuberculosis in serum samples.
