Patient Instructions:
Results will not be provided online but in hard copy, and the processing time will depend on the location of the branch receiving the results.
For legal results: After Diag staff consult on the necessary procedures and the customer fills out the DNA analysis request form, the sample collection will be conducted directly. Customers must provide identification documents such as a Citizen ID card, Passport, Birth Certificate, or Birth Record. The sample collection staff will take a photo of the original identification document, a photo of the customer, and collect the customer's fingerprints.
Legal test results are intended for submission to government authorities and require high legal validity. Therefore, only blood or oral mucosa samples are accepted.
Notes:
If the father is married but has a child outside of wedlock, the child can still be registered with the father’s surname.
If the mother is married but has a child with another man, the child will legally bear the surname of the mother's husband at the time of birth. If the child is to bear the biological father's surname, a divorce must be processed, and a court ruling must be obtained. This requires two DNA tests: one confirming no biological relationship with the legal husband and another confirming biological paternity with the actual father.
Additional Services:
For Vietnamese customers, if prior notice is given when submitting the sample, a free English result report will be provided. If additional reports are needed later, customers should note this for future submissions and select code 11502-2LOCI - Paternity DNA for an extra report.
For foreign customers, an English result report will be provided by default.
