Plasma (Fluoride - Gray Tube) glucose measurements are done when the woman is fasting and at 1 and 2 hours after drinking 75 grams of glucose dissolved in water, at 24–28 weeks of gestation in women not previously diagnosed with diabetes. The OGTT should be performed in the morning after an overnight fast of at least 8 hours, however, if you are testing along with a lipid panel, you must fast for at least 12 hours.
