HIV / Resistance Genotyping (Integrase) [Plasma] **

HIV RNA resistance genotyping on plasma is recommended at the time of initial diagnosis and in the event of a detectable viral load under treatment, to detect any acquired resistance mutations.

The HIV Resistance Genotyping (Integrase) [Plasma] test requires a viral load of at least 500 to 1,000 copies/mL and is indicated in the following case:
Used for initial HIV treatment: If there is suspicion of transmitted resistance to integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTIs), if the person has previously used long-acting cabotegravir (CAB-LA) for pre-exposure prophylaxis, or if the person has previously been treated with an INSTI-based regimen for post-exposure prophylaxis.
