An Alpha 2-Macroglobulin (α2M) test measures the level of α2M protein in a blood sample, primarily used to assess potential liver dysfunction or conditions like nephrotic syndrome where large proteins like α2M might be abnormally elevated due to the loss of smaller proteins in the urine; high levels can also indicate inflammation in some cases.

A FibroTest is a blood test that assesses liver damage by measuring six serum biomarkers.
FibroTest is used to assess liver damage in patients with a variety of liver diseases, including hepatitis C, hepatitis B, alcoholic liver disease, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
It’s most useful for cirrhosis and less useful for other stages of liver disease

Direct Bilirubin level test checks out how much direct bilirubin is in the blood. Direct bilirubin is this stuff the liver has already processed, making it ready to leave the body. Normally, the liver grabs the bilirubin that comes from breaking down old red blood cells, makes it water-soluble, and then it’s pretty much set to go. This test helps catch if there’s a hold-up with the liver or bile ducts, pointing out if there’s liver damage or a bile duct blockage. It’s a quick way to make sure everything’s running smoothly with liver function and how the body’s getting rid of waste.

There are two major proteins in the blood. Albumin helps keep blood from leaking out of blood vessels and moves other important substances throughout the body, while globulins help fight infection and move nutrients throughout the body. The A/G ratio compares the amount of albumin in your blood to the amount of globulin. This test helps diagnose kidney disease, liver disease, or nutritional problems.

Total Bilirubin level test is a blood test that measures all the bilirubin in the blood. Bilirubin is the stuff made when the body breaks down old red blood cells, and usually, the liver processes it so the body can get rid of it. This test combines the counts of both direct bilirubin (the type the liver has processed and is ready to be eliminated) and indirect bilirubin (the kind that hasn’t been processed by the liver yet). It’s a good way to check on the liver’s health and see if everything’s working right, from breaking down cells to removing waste. High total bilirubin could hint at liver issues or other problems with how the body deals with blood cell breakdown.
