ABO Hard blood grouping (Scangel/Gelcard technique) (Whole Blood)**

The Brucellosis IgG, IgM test is performed to detect the presence of IgG and IgM antibodies in the blood against Brucella bacteria, the causative agent of brucellosis (also known as undulant fever or Malta fever). This test helps determine whether a patient has a Brucella infection and can differentiate between acute and chronic infections

The Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) test is performed to measure the level of the Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) in the blood. ACE is an important enzyme in the body that is involved in the renin-angiotensin system, which helps regulate blood pressure and water balance in the body. ACE converts angiotensin I into angiotensin II, a compound that helps constrict blood vessels and raise blood pressure.

The Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) test is performed to measure the level of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the blood. DHT is a potent androgen hormone, metabolized from testosterone by the action of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. DHT plays an important role in the development of male sexual characteristics and affects various physiological functions in the body.

An ADAMTS13 activity assay test measures the level of activity of the ADAMTS13 enzyme in a blood sample, which is crucial for regulating the size of von Willebrand factor (VWF) multimers and preventing excessive blood clotting; a low ADAMTS13 activity level is strongly associated with the diagnosis of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). 

· Human T-lymphotropic virus (HTLV) type I and II are closely related retroviruses.
· HTLV-I has A-F subtypes, while HTLV-II has two subtypes, A and B.
· HTLV is transmitted from mother-to-child through breast feeding, between intravenous drug users by needle sharing, by hetero- or homosexual intercourse and contaminated blood products. Transmission by blood products is strictly cell-associated; the virus is not transmitted by plasma or plasma-derived products.
· HTLV is implicated in the development of adult T-cell leukemia (ATL) and HTLV-I-associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis (HAM/TSP), which are generally severe and progressively incapacitating diseases.
· The disease type correlates with the route of infection; breastfeeding has been associated with ATL, and HAM/TSP with blood transfusion.
· The HTLV-I/II assay is used for screening of blood donors to ensure the safety of blood products and for diagnosis of HTLV infection.
· This test is for the in vitro qualitative determination of antibodies to HTLV-I/II in human serum.
