Many patients expect that their diagnoses will be reviewed and confirmed by specialized and experienced experts, especially in the case of cancer, to ensure the best treatment options are chosen. Additionally, both clinicians and and pathologists need to consult top experts before making timely diagnostic and treatment decisions for patients. Therefore, in addition to receiving and diagnosing histopathological specimens directly sent to the laboratory, the Diag Pathology Laboratory also serves as a reference center for colleagues and patients from other locations to send specimens for consultation in the form of processed and stained slides with Hematoxylin & Eosin (Histopathology) or Papanicolaou (FNA, cell-block, pap smear, liquid pap) or Immunohistochemistry (Histopathology, cell-block).
