[2-Signature] Histopathological testing and diagnosis (Tissue sample 5cm - 10cm) is analyzed and signed by at least two pathologists from the Diag Pathology Laboratory, including the senior consultant. This test is indicated for specimens measuring 5 cm - 10 cm, obtained from patients during surgery by clinicians. These specimens may be a part or entire mass, with or without adjacent organs, such as partial nephrectomy, complete breast tumor biopsy, uterine leiomyomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, etc. The specimens are preserved in 10 % neutral buffered formalin and sent to the Histopathology laboratory. In the laboratory, pathologists process and analyze the samples under a light microscope to provide accurate, specific, and comprehensive diagnoses, including:
(1) Cancer or non-cancer disease
(2) Histological type
(3) Histological grade
(4) Invasion status
(5) Metastasis status
(6) Surgical margin status
(7) Stage of cancer
Histopathological tests are the gold standard and are crucial before, during, and after treatment many types of disease related to variety of clinical specialties, including surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, neurology, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and oncology. Based on these results, clinicians can establish optimal personalized treatment plans, management strategies, follow-up schedules, and prognoses tailored to each patient.
