Apolipoprotein B (or Apo B, for short) is a protein that helps carry fat and cholesterol through your body. Your body needs fat and cholesterol to produce hormones and keep cells healthy. As they don't dissolve well in the blood, they may cause plaque buildup in your blood vessels, possibly leading to heart disease.
Apolipoprotein B/Apolipoprotein A-1 ratio is an index reflecting the balance between atherogenic lipoprotein particles and anti-atherogenic lipoprotein particles. When this balance is disrupted, atherosclerosis progresses, leading to stroke. Additionally, the ApoB/ApoA-1 ratio is also a strong predictor of cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction, angina, and heart failure, compared to conventional lipid tests like total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-cholesterol, and HDL-cholesterol.
T3 is one of two major hormones from your thyroid that regulates how your body uses energy. It's also important in controlling your weight, body temperature, muscle strength, and nervous system. This test measures free circulating T3, excluding that bound to carrier proteins. It aids diagnosis of, or following the treatment for, hyperthyroidism.

Thyroglobulin is a thyroid protein. This test is mostly used to monitor, but not to diagnose, patients with well-differentiated thyroid cancers. The measurement of thyroglobulin after thyroidectomy and ablation of the thyroid gland is useful for determining metastasis. It may also help diagnose hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, which are common non-cancer thyroid conditions.
Thyroglobulin is a protein that your thyroid produces. Antithyroglobulin antibodies can indicate thyroid gland damage caused by the immune system. They may be measured in suspected cases of thyroid inflammation. Measuring thyroglobulin antibody levels after thyroid cancer treatment can help your provider monitor recurrence.
