Diag’s Fever Panel aims to identify the cause of a fever. To fever of unknown origin, additional tests may be needed, such as erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein, influenza and malaria tests.

If dengue fever is suspected, the patient needs to test for dengu’s NS1 antigen, antibodies (IgG + IgM) and other necessary tests. Accurate diagnosis can be made assessing the severity and progression of disease to determine appropriate treatment and management.

Complete Blood Count (CBC)

The test helps detect various diseases, including infections, anemia, immune system abnormalities, and hematological disorders.

Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)

Inflammation is the immune system's response to agents like trauma and infection. Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) is a blood test that helps detect inflammation in the body.

C-Reactive Protein (CRP)

CRP is a protein molecule produced by the liver. Normally present in blood in small amounts, liver increases CRP production in response to inflammation. Elevated CRP levels suggest serious disease causing inflammation.

Antistreptolysin O (ASO) Ab

This test measures antibodies against streptolysin O, a substance produced by Group A Streptococcus bacteria. A significant or continuous increase in titer suggests an infection or post-infection sequelae of Streptococcus.

Dengue NS1 Ag

Tests for the presence of dengue virus antigen in the blood.

Dengue Ab IgG + IgM

Tests for the presence of dengue virus antibodies in the blood.

Widal (Salmonella)

Typhoid fever is a life-threatening illness caused by the bacterium Salmonella enterica serotype Typhi (S. typhi), transmitted through contaminated food or drink. The Widal test assists in diagnosing Typhoid fever.

Malaria Antigen Rapid

Malaria is caused by the malaria parasite transmitted to humans through the bites of infected mosquitoes. Initially, malaria symptoms may resemble those of the flu, but the disease can lead to life-threatening complications. This test offers a convenient and time-saving diagnosis compared to the traditional method of blood smear observation under a microscope.

Urinalysis (Urine Chemistry)

Urine Sediment

A semi-quantitative urine test used to measure and calculate indicators such as erythrocytes, platelets, leukocytes, urinary casts, etc. This test is important in diagnosing and monitoring kidney diseases, especially nephrotic syndrome.

Respiratory 5-in-1 Antigen Rapid Test (COVID-19, Flu A, Flu B, RSV, ADV)

This is an in vitro rapid, simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of nucleocapsid antigen from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), Influenza type A virus, Influenza type B virus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and Adenovirus (ADV) directly from anterior nasal swab specimens obtained from individuals, who are suspected of respiratory viral infection.

Infants and children who have a fever for at least 3 days should be tested for dengue fever. Accompanying symptoms may include rash, itching, red spots particularly on the palms, soles and face.

3. How long does it take to get dengue fever test results?

It takes 2 - 3 hours for results once your samples arrive in our central lab in Ho Chi Minh City, travel time to the lab is vary based on your location. Therefore, testing in the morning is highly recommended to receive results on the same day. In case testing in the evening, results should be ready the following morning. Note: This timeframe does not include the time for consultation and test registration.

4. Should I retest if my dengue fever test results are negative?

You should keep paying attention to the symptoms even if the test result is negative. In case any unusual persists, you need to retest promptly to ensure an accurate diagnosis.

5. Can I take the dengue fever test at home?

Yes. Customers can register for Diag's home sample collection service. Nurses collect samples at home and take them to the laboratory. Dengue fever test results will be sent via SMS/Zalo. Customers then receive a direct consultation from doctors regarding the cause of the fever.

There are also other bleeding symptoms including gum bleeding, or easy bruising.
