Men: Avoid sexual activity, including masturbation and vigorous exercise, for at least 48 hours before sample collection. Avoid prostate examination/massage, ultrasound or catheterization for 10 days before sample collection. Women: No special preparation is needed.
Diag’s Cancer Screening Panels can detect cancers of the breast, liver, lung, stomach, bladder, colon, rectum, thyroid, pancreas, prostate, testicles, ovaries, endometrium, peritoneum and fallopian tubes. SCC test helps evaluate and monitor squamous cell carcinoma of the head, neck, lung, and cervix.
The Diag Wellness Checkup Panels do not include cancer screening. However, customers can add cancer screening tests when registering for Wellness Checkup Panels at Diag.
Not all cancer markers are hereditary. Non-hereditary cancer markers: AFP, CYFRA 21-1, CEA, CA 19-9, SCC, CA 15-3. Hereditary cancer markers: Thyroglobulin, Total PSA, CA 125.

Elevated tumor marker levels can indicate the presence of cancer, but they can also be elevated due to non-cancerous conditions. Further testing is required to determine the cause.

- If Diag's lab receives the sample before 9:30 PM (Mon - Sat) or before 8:30 PM (Sun), test results will be available after 2 hours and 30 minutes on the same day.
- If Diag's lab receives the sample after 9:30 PM (Mon - Sat) or after 8:30 PM (Sun), test results will be available at 9:00 AM the next day.
Cancer Screening Women Panel - Basic:
- If Diag's lab receives the sample before 9:30 PM (Mon - Sat) or before 8:30 PM (Sun), test results will be available after 2 hours and 30 minutes on the same day.
- If Diag's lab receives the sample after 9:30 PM (Mon - Sat) or after 8:30 PM (Sun), test results will be available at 9:00 AM the next day.
Cancer Screening Women Panel - Advanced:
- If Diag's lab receives the sample before 10:00 AM (Mon - Sun), test results will be available at 5:00 PM on the same day.
