Note:
(1) CNV testing is free of charge when the pregnant woman submits an amniotic fluid sample to Medical DIAG Center laboratory.
(2) Required documents for support registration include:
- Bank account number.
- Notarized copy of effective National ID card.
- Medical examination report that includes the diagnosis and the specialist doctor’s recommendations.
- The invoices for the invasive procedure (amniocentesis/chorionic villus sampling) and the diagnostic test issued by the hospital, as prescribed by the specialist doctor, along with the diagnostic test result in either the original hard report or electronic format.
Policy for No Result
If a pregnant woman receives a “No Result” outcome due to an insufficient fetal DNA concentration (<3.5%) in the maternal blood, Medical DIAG Center provides the following financial supports:
- Medical DIAG Center will provide a free of charge recollection after at least 2 weeks, provided the pregnancy is over 15 weeks. No refund will be issued if the patient declines the recollection.
- A full 100% refund will be granted if the recollected sample results in “no result.”
Policy for Low Risk / Not Detected
- NIPT result with Low Risk/Not Detected, followed by abnormal ultrasound findings: CNV testing is free of charge if the pregnant woman submits an amniotic fluid sample, the original doctor’s referral, and a scanned copy of the ultrasound report indicating fetal abnormalities to Medical DIAG Center.
- Prenatal False Low Risk / Not Detected result: If the NIPT result shows Low Risk/Not Detected, but the fetus is later confirmed to have Trisomy 21, Trisomy 18, or Trisomy 13 (not applicable to mosaic or partial Trisomy) through confirmatory testing prescribed by a specialist doctor at two independent testing facilities, the customer will be eligible for support of 30 million VND.
- Postnatal False Low Risk / Not Detected result: If the NIPT results show Low Risk/Not Detected, but the baby is born and later diagnosed with Trisomy 21, Trisomy 18, or Trisomy 13 (not applicable to mosaic or partial Trisomy) through confirmatory testing prescribed by a specialist doctor at two independent testing facilities, the customer will be eligible for support of 400 million VND.
Conditions for Financial Support Eligibility
- All financial support terms listed above apply only to pregnant women with a gestational age of 10 to 24 weeks at the time of sample collection.
- The NIPT test request form must be fully completed according to the template and signed by both the pregnant woman and the prescribing doctor.
- Copy of the latest ultrasound result with Nuchal Translucency (NT) value < 3.5 mm.
- The validity of the NIPT Post-Testing Financial Support Policy is within 12 months from the date of receiving the test results.
- Diag will cease all financial support for the customer once the support package has been utilized and no additional support from Diag/the clinic/the hospital will be provided.
Note: If any of the above documents are missing, Medical DIAG Center will not provide financial support after performing the NIPT.
Procedure for Handling Financial Support Requests
- Financial support requests can be submitted through Customer Service via the hotline or directly at the PSC for processing.
- Upon receiving the request, Customer Service / PSC will create a refund ticket for accounting, accompanied by a scanned copy of the complete dossier, including signatures from the pregnant woman and the prescribing doctor, as well as the NIPT result performed at Medical DIAG Center.
- Within 30 days of receiving the financial support request ticket, Accounting / Customer Service will review the dossier and notify the customer of the outcome via email.
- Within 15 days of notifying the customer about the dossier outcome, Medical DIAG Center will process the financial support and transfer the funds to the customer’s bank account.
Required documents for support registration
Case 1: Prenatal False Low Risk / Not Detected result:
- Bank account number.
- Notarized copy of effective National ID card (Must be identical to the one used on the appointment slip or the NIPT results).
- Medical examination reports that include the diagnosis and the specialist doctor’s recommendations.
- The invoice for the invasive procedure (amniocentesis/chorionic villus sampling) issued by the hospital, as prescribed by the specialist doctor/genetic counselor.
- The invoices for the diagnostic test issued by two independent facilities, as prescribed by the specialist doctor/genetic counselor, along with the diagnostic test results in either the original hard report or a valid notarized copy.
- Morphological ultrasound results of the fetus from weeks 18-22 and 30-32.
Case 2: Postnatal False Low Risk / Not Detected result:
- Bank account number.
- Notarized copy of effective National ID card (Must be identical to the one used on the appointment slip or the NIPT results).
- Medical examination reports that include the diagnosis and the specialist doctor’s recommendations.
- Notarized copy of the valid birth certificate.
- The invoices for the diagnostic test issued by two independent facilities, as prescribed by the specialist doctor/genetic counselor, along with the diagnostic test results in either the original hard report or a valid notarized copy.
- Morphological ultrasound results of the fetus from weeks 18-22 and 30-32.
Documentation Assessment
- Assessment principle: The assessment department receives the documents and conducts an independent review based on this support policy and the received documents.
- The assessment department is responsible for reviewing, cross-checking, and verifying the documents and the evidence to ensure compliance with current legal regulations and this policy.
- The assessment department approves the support cost based on the supporting documents submitted with the payment request. In all cases, the support cost for each specific request must not exceed the approved support amount in this policy.
Assessment Time
Within 30 (Thirty) days from the date the assessment department receives the complete payment request documents.
Payment
Payment will be made within 15 (Fifteen) days from the date the assessment department approves.
